Ahmed Musa scores as CSKA beat Dinamo
Ahmed Musa scored his sixth league goal of the season on Sunday as CSKA Moscow beat Dinamo Moscow on match day 11 of the Russia Premier League.
Musa has been in impressive form this season and duly made a goalscoring contribution for the Army club who completed the win to continue their barnstorming start to the season.
The Nigerian in all honesty owed the goal to the hard work of Ivorian marksman, Seydou Doumbia.
Doumbia was played through by Musa on the right via a fantastic ball and the striker honed in on goal with single-minded intent of scoring emphatically.
He was however denied, twice successively, by the Dinamo goalkeeper, Vladimir Gabulov.
With the chance seemingly gone, Doumbia decided to turn provider as he produced a looping cross which the grateful Musa heded home from two yards.
It was Musa’s ninth goal in all competitions and further underlines his position as one of CSKA’s most prized possession.
CSKA remain top of the Premier League standings with 29 points from 11 games, eight points clear of nearest challengers, Zenit St. Petersburg.
