The revered role interpreter stated that 2019 has been a busy year for her.<br /> <br /> In her words: “2019 has been so busy, I have done a lot of projects this year and I thank God for health, because if there is no health you cannot really achieve anything, but I thank God that He has really endowed me with good health.  So, I have been so busy this year and I like it that way because it keeps you away from mischief. I’m also a student; I am a M. Phil and PhD student of Theatre Arts. I am already finishing my M.Phil at the University of Ibadan and I have started my PhD at Redeemers University and by the special grace of God, early next year, I will be rounding off my programmes”, she told Tribune.<br /> <br /> Asked if she would be quitting acting for the works of the ministry anytime soon, she said:”I won’t, because even the bible says “Your talents will make way for you”. So, while I am still in church, I will still be acting, and I will have a pointer in my plays that God is the Supreme Being that one should worship. I will not say I am doing a Christian film, no, but it will be godly. I will still take any role as an actress, because as an actress you are like machinery. So I will still take any kind of roles. Even two months ago, I played the role of ‘Iya Olokun’ in a movie, but that does not really make me ‘Iya Olokun’. It is just an act”.<br /> <a name='more' id="more"></a><br /> <br /> Going down memory lane, she recounted how God saved her life when she was involved in a fatal auto crash.<br /> <br /> “It was terrible. It was a very fatal accident, the car was written-off but I thank God, I came out alive. We were four in the car, my son, his fiancé and another guy with me. After the accident, nothing really happened but later I felt so sick that I could not even diagnose the sickness. Later, the calling came that the reason why God is still keeping me is that I should answer the call to carry the cross. Even though the two are at par, I, as an actress and a church worker, do not really gel you know, but then, if God has already destined something, you have to follow the path of destiny”.

The tradition has since been maintained.<br /> <br /> “Before now, this same Governor had invited all the members of the State House of Assembly and directed them to commence the process of amending the law to change the name of the State University which the last administration renamed after my late father, Dr. Abubakar Olusola Saraki. He then followed up on this act of vengeance by initiating a bill to rename the University and expunge the name of the late Dr. Abubakar Olusola Saraki. Now, he has decided to also revoke the titles of the landed property which belongs to the late politician. May be, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq thinks his will be the last administration in Kwara State but definitely, this is self delusion.<br /> <a name='more' id="more"></a><br /> <br /> “The property had been rightfully allocated to my late father under the name of one of his companies, Asa Investment Limited, since the 1980s and contrary to the claim of the Governor, the land was properly allocated and a Right of Occupancy title issued on it. It should be noted that the excuse given by Abdulrazaq in his revocation order holds no water since it is clear that this is the height of his vengeance against my father, Dr. Abubakar Olusola Saraki and I.<br /> <br /> “Till today, many Kwarans have been wondering what problem the Governor has with the late Oloye Abubakar Olusola Saraki or what the late politician did to offend him. It is surprising that of all vacant plots of land in strategic places across Ilorin township, the one that Abdulrahman found useful for his vengeful plan is the one owned by late Dr. Saraki. It is beyond comprehension why a Governor would set as his main agenda the objective of undermining and waging a war of attrition against a man who is no longer around.<br /> <br /> “This action is clearly a manifestation of vengeance and it shows that this Governor is not out to serve any public purpose or pursue any development agenda. In his narrow-mindedness, he believes his victory at the polls is an empowerment, entitlement and enablement to settle scores, provoke and pursue inter-family rivalry. Those who voted for the party in power in Kwara State and Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq obviously did not vote for the man to enable him wage war against Dr. Olusola Saraki and his legacies. They expected development and fulfillment of promises.<br /> <br /> “If the Governor believes people are not taking stock of his misguided and deceptive actions and that because he is in power, he could do whatever he likes, he must be a joker. Also, this war against the Sarakis will not successfully veil his unpreparedness for governance and divert people’s attention from the glaring lack of visionary, clear-cut plan to deliver on his empty promises to the people. He definitely cannot get away with all the atrocities he has been committing.<br /> <br /> “Since the outcome of the elections in March, despite the fact that there are clear grounds to challenge the results in court, I have decided to demonstrate maturity, statemanship and sportsmanship. I have chosen not to make comment on the policies, programmes and actions of the administration in Kwara State or that of its head. Also, I deliberately stayed away from the State to avoid creating any distraction for the administration. My decision is borne out of a genuine restraint to enable the administration settle down and fulfill its numerous promises to the people of our state.<br /> <br /> “However, seven months down the line, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has shown that its cardinal Programme is to wage war against my late father and I. He has demonstrated that his only competence and astuteness is in the area of viciously assailing the late Oloye Saraki and I. Definitely, he is a man with no sense of history. Enough is enough. Now, he has crossed the line.<br /> <br /> “Perhaps, I should let it be known that if Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq thinks he is taking all these actions to get at me, he is only deceiving himself. There is no basis for competition between us. Our paths cannot cross because the status that he is struggling to attain, Almighty Allah has given it to me many years before now. I became Governor 16 years before him and served out my constitutional limit of eight years. Within the period, I was Chairman of Nigerian Governors Forum. I have moved on to serve in the federal legislature and by the grace of God, I headed the National Assembly as the number three man in the country. No matter, how well he tried to rewrite history, it is on record that I left Kwara State a lot better than I met it. In fact, the University that he is struggling to rename was established by my administration as just one out of many legacies we left behind. This Governor needs a lot more efforts, years, Intelligence and resources to attain the level Allah has taken me, not to talk of my late father, Dr. Olusola Abubakar Saraki, the Senate Leader in the Second Republic. As Governor, I used the position to serve the people and during the period I did not dishonour his own father or anybody’s father for that matter.<br /> <br /> “Just as I did after the election, my advise to Gov. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq that he should devote his time and energy to providing good governance and genuine development of the state.<br /> <br /> “It is well known to the Governor that I fear nobody, except Almighty Allah, the ultimate owner of all powers. With all his subterranean and open moves against my family, person and property, I remain unmoved. However, his open antagonism against my late father and his legacies is unwarranted and will not be tolerated. He has definitely gone beyond bounds as he cannot be allowed to ride roughshod on the deceased. In this war against my late father, he will not win.<br /> <br /> “This Governor has shown that he is not a man who wants peace, co-operation and development. He believes that a constant attack on my family and I is all that he needs to win the hearts of Kwara people. The need to provide good governance is secondary to him.<br /> <br /> “However, it should be made clear to Abdulrazaq and his administration that their attack on my late father cannot erase the legacies of Oloye. No evil design, negative plot or propaganda can successfully rewrite the history of Kwara State. This plot against my late father will not stand. And I will like to make it clear that we will contest this petty, malicious, dubious and bias action of a parochial, vicious and vindictive administration through all legal means. We are sure this is not an action taken in public interest. Rather, it is done in pursuit of a selfish and devious objective”, Saraki stated.

Let us see how they go. Deadline does not mean that if it expires we will take action immediately. It simply means that the grace period is over and anything can happen thereafter.<br /> <br /> “In other words, when you give a deadline or an ultimatum, once it expires, it does not mean you will take action immediately.<br /> <br /> “It simply means that the grace period given to government is over. From that moment, you will not be held for any action.<br /> <br /> “On the minimum wage, we are also watching. That means they also have that Tuesday (deadline) in mind.”<br /> <br /> The secretary-general urged any state governor who cannot pay the new minimum wage to quit.<br /> <br /> He said it was too late for state governors to use the call for a review for revenue sharing formula as an excuse not to pay the new minimum wage.<br /> <br /> Ozigi said: “Any governor that feels he can use that (revenue formula) as an excuse to pay is calling for labour action.<br /> <br /> “We do not want to pre-empt anybody, but we have told them very clearly it is either you do what is right or stay out of power and let somebody who can do it come there, and we have not changed the position.<br /> <br /> “Any governor that is not prepared to pay minimum wage has no business in government.<br /> <br /> “That is the basic principle on which we stand, and from Tuesday you will see reaction.<br /> <br /> “But I can assure you it will not be immediate, because we need to go back to our people (labour leaders) to decide what kind of plan we are going to use to deal with that kind of governor.”

No entity can survive while devoting 50 per cent of its revenue to debt servicing,” Obasanjo said.<br /> <br /> “It has recently been pointed out that in 2018 that total debt servicing took over 60 per cent of government revenue. What’s more, we are not doing enough to address the fundamental, deep-seated and structural challenges that inhibit the expansion of our economy,” the ex-President added.<br /> <br /> Obasanjo, who served twice as a democratic President of Nigeria between 1999 and 2007, said to worsen matters, the present government was currently seeking to add another $29.6bn loan to “our already overburdened debt portfolio.”

There was no loss of life and no injury sustained by any person,” Mohammed said.

Tukur Buratai, an act declared by the Army as an assassination attempt.<br /> <br /> The Army raided the IMN headquarters in Zaria and killed many Shi’ites members.<br /> <br /> Despite a court order for their release in December 2016, the IMN leaders is still in detention.<br /> <br /> The Kaduna state government on April 18, 2018 filed an eight-count charge of unlawful gathering, criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide against El-Zakzaky and three others.<br /> <br /> Some of the offences are punishable under section 59 and 190 of the Kaduna State Penal Code Law, 2017.<br /> <br /> The allegation of homicide is punishable by death, under section 190 of the same law<br /> <br /> In May 2018, El-Zakzaky and Zeenat were arraigned before a Kaduna High Court.<br /> <br /> Justice Darius Khobo on August 5 granted leave to them to travel abroad for medical treatment.<br /> <br /> Although the couple left Nigeria on August 12, Medanta Hospital in New Delhi, they hurriedly came back on August 16.<br /> <br /> In an audio message, El-Zakzaky accused the government of allegedly frustrating his medical treatment.<br /> <br /> He  said: ”So we saw that we were practically brought to another detention facility which is even stricter than the one we were back in Nigeria.<br /> <br /> “They came here with police armed with guns and a lot of staff from the Nigerian embassy”.

It just doesn’t follow the cause of natural justice.<br /> <br /> “ The National Assembly is in court as we speak with the House of Assembly in Edo State over the plan to come and take over the operations of the state House of Assembly and then the leaders of the same National Assembly that had wanted to take over the House of Assembly are now the head of the reconciliation committee. Senator Ahmed Lawan, the Senate President, with all due respect, and other leaders of the National Assembly are hell-bent on taking over the Edo House of Assembly.”<br /> <br /> On Thursday, the governor said the APC in the state was united, strong and formidable, stressing that members of the EPM were not members of the party.<br /> <br /> The governor said, “The APC is one party. Those that say they are in the EPM are not APC, including their national chairman, who we have suspended in Edo State. Those mistakenly elected into Edo State House of Assembly, who are members of the EPM, have been thrown out and the Independent National Electoral Commission is aware and will soon announce a date for a fresh election, where we will have opportunity to elect credible representatives, who will represent us in the House.<br /> <br /> “Any person doing anti-party activities, President Muhammadu Buhari has asked us to deal with them. We have been told to go back to organise our party. That’s why we are here. As a ruling party in the state, we have done a lot for the Edo people, moving the state forward progressively, but the EPM are afraid of progress and will do anything to ensure we don’t get another term.”<br /> <br /> Obaseki alleged that the EPM members were trying to frustrate the good plans of his government for the people of the state.<br /> <br /> “Their intention is to discredit our administration, but the people of Edo know better,” he said.<br /> <br /> Obaseki explained that his administration was achieving a lot in agriculture in the state, adding that government would soon commence work on the Sobe-Sabogida-Ora road.<br /> <br /> The governor stated, “The support here today is massive and it speaks volume, further showing that the suspended national chairman’s antics will not work. He no longer has the support of the Edo people. The act of trying to create factions of the APC in Edo State can’t work.<br /> <br /> “We are still intact, strong and united. Our politics in Edo State is transparent and can’t tolerate any act of dubiousness. If you are a progressive, you must be a real progressive.”<br /> <br /> The Chairman of the Owan West Local Government Area, Frank Ilaboya, commended the governor for his achievements. He said the people of the local government would support him for a second term.<br /> <br /> Also, the Chairman of the Owan-East LGA, Andy Osegwue, said the people were behind Obaseki because of his achievements.<br /> <b><br /></b><b>Obaseki suffering from diarrhoea of the mouth – Oshiomhole faction</b><br /> <br /> But the secretary of the Oshiomhole faction, Lawrence Okah, said the governor was a political misfit and that the Edo people should ignore him.<br /> <br /> He said it was very clear that the governor’s second term ambition had affected his sense of reasoning.<br /> <br /> Okah stated, “We don’t really blame his ignorance because it has developed to diarrhoea of the mouth after our national chairman made him governor on a silver platter; a man that had never voted before in Edo State until last year. A man that lost his unit, ward, local government and senatorial district in the presidential election has now turned a superstar due to the fact that he controls the resources of the state. Does he even know what campaigns are? The whole world was even asking us whether he was deaf and dumb when Oshiomhole was marketing him in 2016 because he could not even speak for himself. So, it is funny when he says he now owns the Edo APC.<br /> <br /> “We dare him to go and get his own INEC to conduct elections into the state House of Assembly for the 14 members. He will soon realise that the people of Edo State regretted the day they gave him their mandate.<br /> <br /> “The fact remains that Obaseki is now going round the state recruiting people that he will move with him to the PDP. Just two days ago, he held a meeting with top PDP leaders in Edo State with a view to perfecting plans for his defection. But we will tell him that none of our members will join him to enter the PDP. Even his deputy, Philip Shaibu, will not follow him to the PDP.”<br /> <b><br /></b><b>‘Gov is an embarrassment to APC’</b><br /> <br /> He said, “If he (Obaseki) is a man like he claims, he should have met with the national chairman of our great party to discuss any matter bothering him rather than abusing Oshiomhole in his back. He is an embarrassment to our party. We say sorry to the great men and women of this party for the daily embarrassment the governor is exhibiting. We are indeed very sorry. I want to urge our people to disregard his careless statements and remain focussed. The Edo State APC under our indisputable leader, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, remains solid.”<br /> <br /> The Chief Press Secretary to Oshiomhole, Simon Ebegbulem, could not be reached on his mobile. He promised to call back in a text message when one of our correspondents called his phone, but he had yet to do so as of press time on Thursday.<br /> <br /> Also, the mobile of the National Publicity Secretary, Lanre Issa-Onilu, was engaged when The PUNCH called him. He had also yet to reply a text message sent to him as of 7:27pm on Thursday.<br /> <b><br /></b><b>Buhari didn’t give such a directive, Obaseki lied – 14 Edo lawmakers-elect</b><br /> <br /> However, the leader of the 14 lawmakers-elect of the Edo State House of Assembly, Washington Osifo, said Obaseki should be ignored.<br /> <br /> He described the statement credited to Obaseki as “the most irresponsible” he had heard.<br /> <br /> Osifo said, “It is the most irresponsible statement I have heard from anyone who parades himself as a leader.<br /> <br /> “Mr President is not given to frivolities and will never support an unpopular comment from an unpopular leader. Mr President has warned against people using his name to sell their ambition and this is one of such people.<br /> <br /> “In the last meeting, the President commended the national chairman, that he didn’t know where he got his energy from. It is the same man Obaseki thinks he is deriding. The President advised everyone to accept that the party is supreme.<br /> <br /> “Obaseki is a liar as that can never be the language of Mr President. The President is the man that will talk about unity and cohesion.<br /> <br /> “At the last NEC meeting, he agreed to the setting up of the national reconciliation committee which has been done. The same Mr President couldn’t have said as quoted by Obaseki go and deal with who? That is not the language of Mr President. It is the content of his head and not of the President.”<br /> <br /> Osifo said Obaseki was making unjustifiable comments to test his popularity, which according to him, he has lost already.

She was touching their bodies. She continued praying even after the ambulance people arrived and had stopped trying to revive them.<br /> <br /> “She exercised her faith to the limit. I was performing CPR on her husband, but I’m a believer and I prayed as well.<br /> <br /> “She strengthened me in the way she reacted. It just wasn’t meant to be.”<br /> <br /> But the resort chiefs said the Civil Guard, the police force leading the investigation into the triple tragedy, had given them permission to reopen the pool.<br /> <br /> The pool was said to be one of several on the sprawling holiday complex, but was being little used because it was not heated like others.<br /> <br /> Counsellors are now said to be comforting the widowed mum and her surviving daughter.<br /> <br /> On Thursday, the family told investigators that none of their relatives could properly swim and only nine-year-old Comfort had “some idea.”<br /> <br /> Autopsies performed at Malaga’s Institute of Forensic Medicine confirmed that the British father and his two children died by drowning.<br /> <br /> Pathologists found no signs of any external injuries or evidence that they had been poisoned, during the examinations.<br /> <br /> Medical experts have also found nothing pointing to Favour suffering any chlorine poisoning.<br /> <br /> The 14-year-old was examined after the police were told she had been swimming with her younger sister shortly before the tragedy unfolded.

With Dangote refinery coming on stream, we should expect some radical policy changes in the oil industry, especially in the downstream sector.”<br /> <br /> Marketers under the aegis of the Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria have described the subsidy on petrol as a drag on the downstream sector of the nation’s oil and gas industry.<br /> <br /> “We are consistent in our view that the subsidy payment or subsidy in the petroleum downstream sector degrades operational efficiency and economics of the downstream sector. We don’t think it is good for the industry as a whole,” the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Secretary, MOMAN, Mr Clement Isong, said recently.<br /> <br /> He reiterated the need for full deregulation, saying, “We think it is only deregulation that can help us clean up the industry and bring back efficiency.”<br /> <br /> The International Monetary Fund, in its Regional Economic Outlook published in October, said Nigeria needed to reduce fuel subsidy to bring about more productive government spending.<br /> <br /> “Fuel subsidies tend to be poorly targeted, foster over-consumption, curtail investment and maintenance in related sectors, and crowd out more productive government spending. Some countries need to take the opportunity afforded by low oil prices to reduce fuel subsidies to free up additional fiscal space (Cameroon, Nigeria, Senegal), as was done in Mozambique and South Sudan and is being pursued by Burkina Faso,” it said.<br /> <br /> The Federal Government had on May 11, 2016 announced a new petrol price band of N135 to N145 per litre, a move that signalled the end to fuel subsidy payment to private marketers.<br /> <br /> But the government later resorted to subsidy regime following the increase in the landing cost of petrol on the back of rising crude oil prices.

It was purely a private sector initiative.<br /> <br /> “We however would continue to support such enterprising initiatives so that Kwara can better tap into the potential in the entertainment and creative industry. Ours is to provide the enabling environment for such initiatives. Those who said we spent N50m to bring Wizkid also said we spent N200m on the end of the year party. They also said I bought bulletproof cars. These are laughable claims.<br /> <br /> “Their strategy is to say that we are like them and tar us with the same brush. We are not. We are prudent with public resources. As of today, I still drive my personal cars as official cars. I bought them before I was sworn in. Although the law allows me to buy such vehicles, it is not a priority for me. We need to fix our state first.”<br /> <br /> Stressing the need to grow the entertainment industry and empower talented youths, AbdulRazaq said he requested a meeting with Wizkid in his house on Wednesday, where he sought a partnership to empower local talents.

During the operation, the troops had a meeting engagement with elements of the Boko Haram criminals and a fire fight ensued.<br /> <br /> “The Boko Haram insurgents were decisively dealt with, forcing them to hurriedly flee the location in disarray. Troops destroyed all of the criminals’ structures, farmland, harvested grains stored in underground bunkers and one Lister grinding machine. In another encounter at Fadama Village, the criminals’ flag hoisted on a tree was captured and immediately lowered after the troops had effectively subdued the criminal insurgents with superior fire power forcing them to flee in disarray. Items recovered from the criminals include 2 bicycles, copies of Quran and several other personal effects. Interestingly, no causality was recorded by the gallant troops.”<br /> <br /> The statement added that, “similarly, the troops of 151 Bn, Sector 1 Operation LAFIYA DOLE handed a humiliating defeat to a bunch of Boko Haram criminal insurgents in the early hours of 25th December 2019 while on clearance operation conducted deep into the Sambisa Forest. During the encounter, one Boko Haram suicide bomber tried to force himself into the troops’ firm base, but the gallant troops aborted this heinous intent by promptly neutralising him and his cohorts with effective fire in the general area. The Improvised Explosive Device strapped to his body got detonated in the process and his body parts were found scattered across the field. Items recovered in the aftermath of the encounter include 81 mm mortar muzzle cover, 2 rounds of Anti-Aircraft ammunition, one AK 47 magazine and one passport photo”.

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaqNWnC_gAOt_7EvUx7-3dYVXjiozUKyrwapiGcLRY1UVt9WrwKPCi87LfBvhtZp6Zy1EQ9KZKJkcErLcnh48Kw6GVRNcR_FLoCCZ01AYfKHLMyeeJdnrml0rUJfuiZuZmMF2jY4uOV20/s1600/fuel-pump-price-nigeria.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="398" data-original-width="650" height="243" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaqNWnC_gAOt_7EvUx7-3dYVXjiozUKyrwapiGcLRY1UVt9WrwKPCi87LfBvhtZp6Zy1EQ9KZKJkcErLcnh48Kw6GVRNcR_FLoCCZ01AYfKHLMyeeJdnrml0rUJfuiZuZmMF2jY4uOV20/s400/fuel-pump-price-nigeria.jpg" width="400" /></a></div> <br /> The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), has said that the essence of insisting that Petroleum Marketers totally comply with the rules guiding product distribution in the country is to instill sanity into the system to promote investment and not to make money for the Federal Government.<br /> <br /> The Zonal Controller, Port Harcourt Operation, Bassey Nkanga gave the explanations shortly after a routine Surveillance operation in Rivers state, against the ongoing festive season.<br /> <br /> Addressing journalists, Nkanga said that DPR is mandated by the FG to ensure strict compliance in the petroleum product distribution chain for the growth of the business in the country including the state to ensure that consumers get value for their money, and not necessarily to generate funds for the FG as wrongly being insinuated in some quarters.<br /> <br /> He said that a total of eight filling stations were sealed in the state in the two-week end of the year, last quarter intensive routine  surveillance operation by the Department, to ensure that nothing goes wrong during the Christmas and New year celebrations, and even after.<br /> <a name='more' id="more"></a><br /> <br /> Speaking, the Controller said, “…In Rivers state particularly, we started these intensive surveillance last week and so far we have closed down eight filling stations for various offences, we have visited over 70 filling stations since we started.<br /> <br /> “Just today alone, we shut down four filling stations after visiting about 22 filling stations and the essence of this surveillance is to ensure that petroleum products marketers do not exploit their customers as well as continue maintain a good compliance level as far as guidelines and regulations are concerned.<br /> <br /> “The closure of filling stations is not to generate funds for the federal government but are just deterrent policies of government to ensure that marketers comply guidelines and regulations,” he explained.<br /> <br /> Nkanga noted that the move was aimed at promoting investment opportunities in the oil and gas industry.<br /> <br /> Giving insight on the expectations of the public in the year ahead, he said, “For the year ahead, DPR will continue to operate in a way that will promote investment opportunities in the oil and gas sector and also work with the operators to ensure that things are done correctly, reduction in operational cost and increment in investment activities as well as penetration of the use of LPG in the rural communities.”<br /> <br /> He expressed gratitude to petroleum marketers in the state for their supports  and level of compliance to the DPR product lifting and distribution  guidelines, but however warnes against any deviation, slack presently or in the future, adding that their will be no Scape goat should anyone caught indulging in any activity that will underminine the record already achieved.<br /> <br /> “From my judgement, I would say the marketer are not doing badly, over 80 per cent of filling stations visited were in line with total compliance, but those ones that are caught not complying with guidelines and regulations will be adequately sanctioned if need be, because there are some marketers who could have had problems due to metre malfunction, in such situations we know, correct them and ask them to continue their business, but for the ones that are trying to cheat the public deliberately are the ones to face severe sanctions.” he stated.<br /> <br /> During the surveillance outing, the DPR team among other things checked for the level of sand in each sand bucket at filing stations, the state of the sand, (wet or dry), fire extinguisher expiry dates, product quality and above all, how it is being metered, depended to the public(correctly, under Despenser or over Despenser).

Payment of debt is never an achievement, it is an obligation and this why we ensure that before 26th of every month, workers and pensioners get paid. The workers on their path must also be up and doing so that they can earn these salaries”, Zulum said in a press statement issued in December 2019 by his Special Adviser on Public Relations and Strategy, Malam Isa Gusau.

The message we are sending out is that people should keep safe, think safe, and consider their own personal safety before they act.<br /> <br /> “We are advocating safety on roads; don’t drink and drive. Look at the environment around you before going out at night; when you visit clubs at night, be on the alert always,” Mojola added.<br /> <br /> He disclosed that the commission would embark on aggressive grass roots sensitisation in 2020 for residents living in the hinterlands, stressing that there was the need to raise the level of awareness of all residents of the state.<br /> <br /> He said the agency would be meeting market men and women, chiefs and all other stakeholders critical in mobilising residents in various communities to help the campaign get to community members.
