He told me he had deleted the false claims from his page. When I leave a man, I do not try to go back to him. I try to leave in peace and avoid being enemies with my past lovers. I guess he was just trying to get attention. I think he did that to me because he was still mad at me.</p> <p>“We had a little misunderstanding and the rule was that if one party offended the other, the guilty person would do a frog jump. I also do it when I am wrong. However, he refused to do the punishment when he erred because his friends told him not to. But I have forgiven him.”</p> <p>Speaking further, she noted that she would rather adopt a child than getting married to a man she doesn’t love.</p> <a name='more' id="more"></a> <p>“As a matter of fact, I may end up adopting a child, instead of having a baby for a man I am not in love with. I do not intend to change my life because of marriage. Nothing will stop me from being Cossy. My husband has to take me the way I am.  I can only stop because of God and not because of any human being”.</p>

Let us obey our leaders as enshrined in the Glorious Qur’an (4:59)’’, he said.</p> <p>Akintola also reaffirmed the position of Islamic scholars on the importance of vaccination during pandemic.</p> <p>“We reaffirm the position of scholars of Islam, especially that of the prolific Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah in his book Majmu‘ al-Fataawa .</p> <p>“The scholars also cited the Hadith of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) where he said ‘Seek medical treatment’.</p> <p>“And it was the consensus of Islamic scholars that vaccination is halaal (permissible)” he said.</p> <p>The MURIC director called on cynics to have a rethink and accept the vaccine for the benefit of their health.</p> <p>“We are concerned with the right of every Nigerian to live a healthy life free from any disease.</p> <p>“We also believe that Nigerian lives matter as no Nigerian deserves to lose his life to any epidemic when a vaccine has been made available”, he said.</p> <p>The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the country received four million doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine on March 2.</p> <p>NAN also reports that the vaccination exercise has since begun as doses of the vaccine have been sent to all states.</p>

The students must be returned to their families, and those responsible for this crime must be brought to justice,” he said.</p> <p>It was reported that troops of the Nigerian Army have, on Friday, rescued some of those abducted from the school.</p> <p>A statement issued by the Kaduna State Commissioner, Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, shows that 42 female students, 130 male students and eight staff were rescued by the troops.</p> <p>Aruwan said about 30 students, a mix of males and females, are yet to be accounted for.</p>

When you arrive and have an appointment with the physio or doctor, you arrive on time.</p> <p>“This is absolutely normal if they do this with fines. Then they can have a nice dinner or a nice holiday together.”</p>

General Buratai and other ex-service chiefs were never mentioned in the interview and neither was any arms fund missing under the stewardship of Lt. Gen T.Y. Buratai.</p> <p>“Interestingly, NSA Babagana Monguno has denied making such accusations. We, therefore, urge members of the public to discountenance any such misquoted narrative suggesting sleaze on the integrity of Rtd Lt Gen T.Y. That is a Yoruba proverb and it is what is manifesting in Yewa North at the moment. The people of Asa, Agbon Ojodu and other places along Oja-Odan in Yewa North have continued to kill our people in the past five to six years. We keep reporting to the police commissioner at Eleweran but nothing changes. Over 100 Fulani herdsmen were killed in those areas and an uncountable number of cows were also killed.</p> <p>“I used to have records of these casualties, but everything was burnt recently,” he said.</p> <p>However, Ibrahim said, “we don’t know those who are killing and kidnapping people. They are not our people. They are Fulani from Nigeria, but not those who are our members.</p> <p>“We have been in this area for 40 years and we love peace to reign. We want an end to these crises. Let us live like brothers and sisters,” he said in Yoruba language.</p> <p>Ibrahim spoke to newsmen a few weeks after the visit of the popular Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo (aka Sunday Igboho), to his house.</p> <p>The Fulani leader recalled that his “house and other properties worth millions of Naira were burnt by Sunday Igboho and his boys.”</p> <p>According to him, one person was killed during the attack, saying “they would have killed me if I were at home.”</p>

Nigerians shouldn’t be paying more for fuel at this time, amid low minimum wages and other oppressive economic factors.” <p>His reaction is coming hours after the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) announced the new increment on its website, stating that it was due to the market determinants and importation costs.</p> <p>PPPRA fixed the lower band of the new fuel price at N209.61 per litre and upper band at N212.61 per litre.</p> <p>But the NNPC countered the announcement, insisting that there is no increase in fuel price in March.</p>

The letter was signed by her lawyer, Nasiru Aliyu (SAN), and addressed to online news platform, Sahara Reporters.</p> <p>In the letter, Buhari’s daughter accused Sahara Reporters of “injurious defamation” in a story published on March 5, 2021 titled, ‘How APC Chieftain, Danu, Custom Boss Defrauded Nigerian Government of N51bn, Wired N2.5bn To Buhari’s Daughter’.</p> <p>The publication had claimed that Nasiru Danu wired N2.5bn out of the said N51bn to Buhari’s daughter through her “foundation”.</p> <a name='more' id="more"></a> <p>But in the letter written by her solicitors to Sahara Reporters, Zahra said “no any foundation owned by her was transferred or credited with such money”.</p> <p>The letter also stated, “Contrary to the said allegations in your (Sahara Reporters’) publications under the reference, our client’s position is that, while she is truly the daughter of President Muhammadu Buhari, she has never perpetrated any fraud nor involved in any fraudulent activity.</p> <p>“Our client categorically states that she did not defraud the Federal Republic of Nigeria N51 Billion or N2.5 Billion or any sum of money at all in any way.</p> <p>“Our client is a law-abiding citizen and fulltime housewife supported by her husband.”</p> <p>Describing the Sahara Reporter’s publication as false and injurious, Zahra demanded that Sahara Reporters retract the publication, and tender a public apology in three national dailies within seven days of receipt of the letter or she will “seek all remedies available in law”.</p>

I only added value, and I find them to be religious; religion is the only thing that teaches you that blood has sanctity. So this is the religious angle.</p> <p>I’m trying to gather them and teach them that there is sanctity to life. They cannot kill, rape and so on. This is the addition I hope will work. Note, I never visited these bandits without a government official, but they are in the background.</p> <p>“All the bandits we met were with government officials, and that is why I said those calling for my arrest are clowns.”</p> <p>The Islamic cleric also insisted that his interaction with bandits has yielded instant positive results.</p> <p>“My interaction with bandits has yielded instant results. When you are dealing with somebody engrossed in criminality, if you approach him as a policeman, you will have a problem but if you come to him as a pastor, he will confess all his sins to you.</p> <p>“So we approach them as clergy, and they feel comfortable to vomit all their problems. Hence, we see how we can appease and help them.</p> <p>“We are not approaching them as an authority but from the spiritual angle. You know every human being has that spiritual influence, and that is why we are adopting that,” he added.</p>

For example, the houses of Sunday Igboho and those of the Seriki Fulani of Igangan as well as the victims of the Shasha ethnic clash may be rehabilitated in the interest of peace.”</p> <p>MURIC reiterated its call for farmers whose crops were destroyed by herders’ across the country and cattle owners who lost their cows with genuine evidence to be compensated.</p> <p>“These steps cost a lot of money but peace building is expected to be expensive. Traditional rulers and sole administrators of LG council are to always remain in their respective domains.</p> <p>“Any politician that incites violence and endangers the security of the state will be apprehended and dealt with. Security agents are directed to arrest and arraign violators for prosecution.”</p> <p>Zamfara recently had close to 300 schoolgirls abducted by bandits who stormed their school on motorcycles and whisked them away into the forest. The girls have since been released.</p>

As I speak to you, shops and goods worth millions of naira have been lost. This is height of wickedness!”</p> <p>But the General Manager of OCDA, Innocent Ikpamezie, in an interview with newsmen said that only shanties were destroyed by his agency.</p> <p>Ikpamezie explained that he had in May and November, 2020, gone to the market to inform the traders of the government’s decision to demolish the shanties.</p> <p>He further said the agency would not only stop at the demolition of the shanties but would also make sure that all the traders use structures in the main market.</p> <p>Hear him, “I personally went to that market in May and November, 2020, with a public address system, telling the traders to vacate because the government wanted to destroy the shanties. What we destroyed was not the structures in the market but the shanties that were defacing the market.”</p>

We are still pursuing other assets even as it relates to the Ibori assets.</p> <a name='more' id="more"></a> <p>“The quantum of the amount involved was within the region of over £100m (N2.2bn) and it is out of it that we have succeeded in recovering a fraction of £4.2m and we are still pursuing an additional sum within the region of £100m (N527bn) and that will be a function of conviction and subsequent recovery process.”</p> <p>The AGF said the money would not be handed over to the Delta State Government because the crime that led to the diversion of the funds was a federal one.</p> <p>He further argued that one of the conditions for the UK repatriating the Ibori loot was that the money must be tied to certain federal projects which include the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, the Abuja-Kano rail and the Second Niger Bridge and a Memorandum of Understanding had been signed between both parties.</p> <p>However, human rights lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN), described Malami’s position as faulty.</p> <p>Falana said funds stolen from the Bayelsa State Government years ago were returned to the state government.</p> <p>He said this was what also happened in the case of Joshua Dariye, a former Governor of Plateau State who was convicted for diverting state funds.</p> <p>The senior advocate said giving the Ibori loot to the Federal Government was at variance with Section 162 of the constitution.</p> <p>Falana said, “The £4.2m does not belong to the Federal Government. The money confiscated from Governor Joshua Dariye in the United Kingdom was recovered by the Federal Government, repatriated to Nigeria and returned to the Plateau State Government.</p> <p>“The money confiscated from Governor DSP Alamieyesigha in the UK was recovered by the Federal Government, repatriated to Nigeria and remitted to the Account of Bayelsa State Government.</p> <p>“Since what is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander the sum of £4.2m confiscated from Governor James Ibori in the United Kingdom and recovered by the Federal Government has to be remitted to the Account of the Delta State Government.”</p> <p>He said the memorandum of understanding signed by the representatives of the British Government and the Federal Government cannot supersede the constitution which has prohibited any form of discrimination in the country.</p>

We are very grateful for the uplift of the international wing.”</p> <a name='more' id="more"></a> <p>Responding, the Minister, Sirika assured that the uplifted international wing would be commissioned soon.</p> <p>“Very soon the international wing of Malam Aminu Kano International will be commissioned. I am also from Kano, Your Excellency. Kano is my State also. I, therefore, urge Kano people to cooperate well in this direction,” he assured.</p> <p>At the Ministry of Industries, Trade and Investment, governor Ganduje met with the Minister, Mr Otumba Niyi Adebayo and State Minister, Mrs Maryam Yalwaji Katagum.</p> <p>He commended President Muhammadu Buhari for the developmental projects the federal government executed in Kano, explaining that, “Such and similar projects are drivers for our state economy. More economic development will be possible with such gigantic projects.”</p> <p>“His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari’s show of love to Kano and the country in general, is one of the major reasons we are witnessing progress and development in the State. We are grateful with the Dry Port project and rail projects from many parts, that are also linked to our dear state, Kano. So also the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) Gas project, ” he appreciated.</p> <p>All those projects, according to the governor, would help in boosting the economy of the state, insisting that, “We are urging the federal government to uplift our Trade Fair ground to comply with the global outlook.”</p> <p>After putting the request, the Minister agreed that federal government would look into the request and act appropriately.</p> <p>While at the Ministry for Communication and Digital Economy, the governor commended the good working relationship between the state government and the Ministry in developing the state, while complying with IT-based initiatives.</p> <p>On that basis, according to the governor, “Kano state is soliciting for effective partnership in the areas of digital infrastructure, digital agriculture, capacity development, eGovernance, digital skills and digital literacy. Government has done what it’s supposed to do to make sure that the peace which lasted for three weeks now is sustained. But the State government will not be tired of tackling this security situation in that community.</p> <p>“We will find out what is really the problem again that caused this renewed crisis.</p> <p>“We are not yet sure whether those killed were up to four or six persons as people who are from that place are saying. It is still a rumour until we are sure. However, it is the duty of the government to provide security and we have deployed more troops to the place.</p> <p>“I don’t know why this has continued, in fact, the state government will take a certain measure that is harder. We will ensure that all the stakeholders are rearrested,” he stated.</p> <p>However, an unconfirmed report from sources in Effium community alleged that over twenty innocent persons were reportedly killed by warlords during the renewed hostilities.</p> <p>In a swift reaction, the Commissioner of Police, Ebonyi State Command, CP. Aliyu Garba confirmed that it is only one person that was killed in the renewed hostilities in Effium community.</p> <p>“Police is doing everything possible to put an end to the crisis in Effium community. We have understood the modus operandi on how both Ezza-Effium and Effium operate. There is no need of blowing Effium crisis. Only one person was killed,” he stated.</p>
