Senior Pastor of Awaiting The Second Coming Of Christ Ministry, Adewale Giwa has compared American business magnate, Bill Gates to the biblical John the Baptist.
He accused the Microsoft co-founder of just preparing the way for Antichrist.
Gates had last week said he was yet to understand why COVID-19 cases and fatalities still remain low in Africa.
But while addressing his members in his church in Akure, Giwa said the agents of Lucifer are working tirelessly to weaken the church.
<a id="more" name="more"></a>
He said, “Just like John the Baptist who prepared the way for our Lord Jesus Christ so also Bill gates is preparing the way for Antichrist.
“They are working tirelessly to frustrate the children of God from gathering and praying to Jehovah. It’s just unfortunate that the church is now being surrounded by ministers who have little faith.
“They serve God with their lips but their hearts are far away from God. If not, they wouldn’t have succumbed to pressure by the government that does not know God.
“Many of you read that a Tanzanian president refused to close churches during the outbreak of coronavirus in March.
“Those who are trying to frustrate our lives shall gather to scatter, except God allows their plans to stand.
“They are curiously waiting for January 20 before they begin their operation fully, but God is greater than whatever plans they have against humanity.”

A group of Republican senators led by veteran lawmaker Ted Cruz said Saturday they will challenge Joe Biden’s election win — the latest last-ditch move to support Donald Trump’s efforts to undermine the vote.
The initiative, which appears certain to fail, flies in the face of rulings in dozens of courts and the findings by officials in several key states that there were no widespread voting problems.
The Republicans’ statement, signed by Cruz and six other current senators along with four senators-elect, asserts that “allegations of fraud and irregularities in the 2020 election exceed any in our lifetimes.”
The group said that when Congress convenes in a joint session on Wednesday — for what normally would be a pro-forma certification of Biden’s victory — they will demand the creation of a special commission to conduct an “emergency 10-day audit” of the election results.
<a id="more" name="more"></a>
The statement says individual states could then convene special legislative sessions and potentially revise their vote totals.
“An attempt to steal a landslide win. Can’t let it happen!” Trump tweeted Saturday.
Posting a list of the 11 senators, Trump added: “And after they see the facts, plenty more to come… Our Country will love them for it!”
They join Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri, who said earlier that he planned to raise objections on Wednesday.
A Republican member of the House of Representatives, Louie Gohmert, has also announced his plan to oppose certification, and more than 100 House Republicans reportedly will back his challenge.
Gohmert sought to further raise the stakes with a lawsuit that would have given Vice President Mike Pence — traditionally in a ceremonial role in Wednesday’s session — the power to overturn the election result.
Pence opposed that effort, and a federal judge in Texas on Friday rejected the suit. On Saturday, a federal appeals court upheld that dismissal.
The Hawley and Gohmert challenges will ensure that Congress must meet to hear the complaints.

Fulham’s trip to Burnley on Sunday has been postponed.
The Premier League clash was scheduled to kick off 12 noon GMT on Sunday and becomes the third game to be called off because of COVID-19 cases at the London club.
This comes after Fulham’s away game against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday was also called off, because of a “significant rise” in positive Coronavirus cases within their camp.
Fulham requested the Premier League to rearrange the Burnley game, after the latest round of testing revealed a further increase in positive COVID-19 cases.
<a id="more" name="more"></a>
“With the health of players and staff the priority, the League and Fulham will agree a further action plan to control the outbreak to allow the club to resume their season safely,” the Premier League said in a statement.
“Players and staff will now be retested as part of a revised testing schedule.”
The match becomes the fourth in the Premier League to be postponed because of COVID-19 cases since the start of December, with Manchester City and Newcastle United also called off after multiple positive cases were recorded.
Newcastle’s match with Aston Villa, initially set for December 1 was postponed, and City’s visit to Everton on December 30 was also called off.

Boko Haram fighters have abducted a staff of the United Nations (UN) along Damaturu-Maiduguri road in Borno State.
Held captive is Abubakar Garba Idris, aka Alooma, a Senior Protection Assistant with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
The terrorists ambushed vehicles conveying commuters near Matari village between Minok to Jakana highway.
One of them, Alooma was seized around 8.30 a.m. on Saturday.
<a id="more" name="more"></a>
A source told PRNigeria that the terrorists, in military uniform, mounted a roadblock with three Hilux pickup truck and motorcycles.
“Witnesses said while searching the passengers, Idris attempted to throw away his ID card but one of the insurgents sighted him.
“He was then asked to step down from the vehicle along with two others. The rest were allowed to continue the journey.
“The other two passengers were later released on the ground that they are very poor people and of no use”, the source disclosed.
In recent years, terrorist groups have targeted UN facilities and its staff in Nigeria.
In July 2020, the UN alerted that insurgents operate checkpoints.
UN Humanitarian Coordinator in Nigeria, Edward Kallon, raised the alarm in his reaction to the execution of aid workers by Boko Haram.
