Popular Yoruba nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo, (aka Sunday Igboho) has mocked Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, over the sudden death of his son, Pastor Dare Adeboye.
Sunday Igboho said he would not greet or sympathize with Adeboye over the demise of Dare because the General Overseer does not support Yoruba nation.
Igboho did not mince words when he rained curses on any leader or Pastor who refuse to support the secession agenda, saying God will kill their children and wives.
He said this during a live Facebook broadcast with his media aide, Olayomi Koiki, on Saturday night.

Koiki had asked the activist to send some words to Adeboye through the live video, to sympathise with him over the death of his son.
But, Sunday Igboho appeared infuriated by Koiki’s request as he asked if the man of God had declared his support for Yoruba nation.
He said: “Has Baba supported Yoruba nation that we will now be greeting him? We don’t need to greet Adeboye. What is my own with that? We are not doing church here. This is not religion.
“Pastor Adeboye didn’t speak about Yoruba nation. Look at the number of crowd in Baba Adeboye’s church. Is he not supposed to tell all of them to join Yoruba nation? We don’t need to greet him.
“God himself will start asking questions from all the enemies of the Yoruba race. By the grace of God, anybody who says Yoruba will not get to the promised land, God will kill their children and wives and their entire family.”
“Anybody who does not support Yoruba nation, those who have powers, be it pastors or anybody that has the followers, but does not support Yoruba nation, God I call on you; you’re the one who owns me and the creator of everything. Those elders who see our sufferings, who see that the Fulanis are kidnapping us and collecting ransom, but choose not to support us, as you kill their children, kill their wives. So shall it be!” Sunday Igboho emphasised.

Nollywood actress Victoria Inyama has taken a swipe at her colleague and perceived foe, Etinosa Idemudia on Instagram over the collapse of her marriage.
Etinosa Idemudia had confirmed that her second marriage to Benin-based lawyer, Ighorosa, crashed after eight months while reacting to a blog that announced the news.
In a now-deleted Instagram post, the movie star had called out the blogger for also disclosing the news of her pregnancy months ago.
However, Inyama on her Instagram page on Saturday threw shades at her colleague over her 2nd failed marriage.

“Make Sweet the Words that come out of your mouth because You Never know When You Eat them……In her words and l quote ‘wetin concern married woman with single mother ‘………. NEVER MOCK A PAIN YOU HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED ‘…..🙌🏽❤❤❤❤❤❤,” she wrote.
Inyama’s post came barely a few hours after Idemudia announced the end of her eight-month old marriage.
The movie stars have been at loggerheads for a while now.
In December 2020, when Idemudia announced the arrival of her baby, Inyama threw shades at her for being a single mum.
In her response, Idemudia informed the actress that she was married and shamed her for being a single mum.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has discharged additional  796 patients after testing negative to Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The NCDC disclosed this on its official Twitter handle on Saturday.
It stated that the nation’s total recoveries had increased to 156,250  in the past 24 hours while active cases stood at 7,823.
“Our discharges today include a backlog of 795 community recoveries in Adamawa managed in line with guidelines,” it said.

The agency said it registered 30 new COVID-19 infections in three states, which raised the total number of cases in the country to 165,370.
It said that out of the 30 new infections recorded, Lagos had 21, Adamawa, eight and Rivers, one.
NCDC said no new death was recorded from the disease which had already claimed 2,065 lives nationwide.
It added that the number of deaths recorded from COVID-19 had declined recently with only four deaths recorded in the past 24 days.
The agency said since the pandemic broke out in February 2020 the nation had carried out 1,939,165 tests across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Meanwhile, it stated that a multi-sectoral national Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, had continued to coordinate the national response activities.

The Indigenous People of Biafra, has urged United States President, Joe Biden, not to honour the request of President Muhammadu Buhari to assist Nigeria with its military and weapons.
In a letter titled, “Re: request for United States military assistance by President Mohammadu Buhari of Nigeria”, signed by the IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu, which was made available to newsmen on Saturday evening, the outlawed group claimed Buhari had made Nigeria the most dangerous country, especially those of the former Republic of Biafra.
The letter read, “We, the Indigenous People of Biafra applaud your election as President of the United States, the most powerful office in the history of the world. We salute your adept and muscular discharge of presidential duties during your tenure in the White House.
“Mr President, as you consider Buhari’s request for military assistance to Nigeria, we respectfully urge you to also consider the following:

“Buhari has arbitrarily branded and terrorised the Indigenous People of Biafra, a nonviolent group pursuing the Independence of the former Republic of Biafra. Mr Buhari’s draconian measures were geared to retaliating against peaceful demonstrations favoring the restoration of Biafran independence that was cruelly extinguished by a genocidal military campaign Buhari partly led between 1967 and 1970.
“He has concocted treason charges against IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu to crush Biafran self-determination, despite the fact that self-determination is legal under Nigerian law.
“We respectfully suggest that you consider, among other things, denying weapons sales or transfers to Nigeria under the Leahy Amendment; listing Nigeria complicit in persecuting Christian and Jews under the Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act.
“We respectfully urge Mr President to invoke particularly Section 620M of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 (FAA), as amended, which prohibits the furnishing of assistance authorised by the FAA and the Arms Export Control Act to any foreign security force unit where there is credible information that the unit has committed a gross violation of human rights.
“In conclusion, we state categorically that the national interests of the United States lie in protecting Christians and Jews in Nigeria, defeating radical Islam and preventing instability in West Africa which will altogether be enhanced by a US-led diplomatic pressure on the Nigerian government to – as a matter of urgency – agree to a UN-supervised referendum on Biafran Independence.
“We wish you and your family many wonderful years in the White House.”

Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka has said President Muhammadu Buhari’s government cannot unite Nigeria due to its systemic failure.
Soyinka stated this at the book reading and signing of two of his books titled ‘Trumpism in Academe’ and ‘Chronicles of the Happiest People on Earth’ in Abuja on Saturday.
He was responding to former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, who asked if he could write a story that would inspire unity among the various tribes in the country.
In response, Soyinka claimed Nigeria had lost a key opportunity to unite.

“We had a critical moment and we lost that moment. The moment when this country could have come together.
“There has been more than one moment and we lost the moment. Will another one come? I don’t know. Right now I don’t see it under this government quite frankly.
“There is a failure, a systemic failure in present governance and I don’t know who can put it together,” Soyinka added.
Soyinka however insisted that Nigeria should remain one entity.

The Eselu of Iselu land, Oba Akintunde Akinyemi has reminded Governor Dapo Abiodun that displaced Ogun State indigenes, who returned from Benin Republic after the recent herders’ crisis are still awaiting the shelter he promised them.
At the peak of the farmers/herders clashes in Yewa axis of Ogun State, many displaced residents were said to have fled to neighbouring Benin Republic to avoid being killed by suspected herdsmen.
It was reported that many people were shot or butchered to death by the fiendish herdsmen, who also set houses, motorcycles and other properties on fire.
At the time, the government of Ogun State was not pleased with media reports that Ogun residents relocated to Benin Republic.

Even with video evidences, the Chairman of the peace committee on farmers/herders clashes, Hon. Kayode Oladele said no Yewa indigene relocated to the French-speaking country.
According to Oladele, those who fled to the country were the Ohoris and the Eguns, who were originally from the Republic of Benin, adding that nothing had happened in Yewa that could warrant relocation across the border.
As the denial continued, those who fled their communities began to return to Asa, Ibeku, Agbon Ojodu, Orile Igbooro and other villages in Yewa North and Imeko-Afon Local Government Areas.
It was learnt that it was made possible when normalcy was restored by the joint security task force put in place by Governor Dapo Abiodun in the troubled areas.
However, it was gathered that many of the returnees have no houses to return to, even as some of them reportedly died in the foreign land.
With their houses and belongings torched, the majority of those who returned to their villages are at the mercy of individuals that took them in, as they look on to the government to give them a place to retire to after the labour of each day.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with our correspondent, the Eselu, Oba Akinyemi said government would not have denied that Ogun residents relocated to Benin Republic if it had done its findings initially.
Oba Akinyemi stated that the Ogun State government later found out that indigenes of Yewa truly relocated across the borderline.
“Initially, when government said it wasn’t true that people moved to Benin Republic, maybe it was because they didn’t find out. But, later when they found out, they discovered that Ogun indigenes were there.
“But now, we have convinced them, everybody is back home. However, they are waiting for the promise of the governor to give them shelter and the rest of it. They’re back home and the governor knows they back. But the truth remains that they are still looking at the things the government promised them and that’s what we are agitating for,” Oba Akinyemi said.
Speaking about the security situation of the area, the Eselu disclosed that, “Presently the governor has taken a measure to beef up security. Soldiers, police, all of them are there. At least, that has tamed the killers to some extent. For now, we are not hearing of killings anymore in that axis, because of the presence of the army and that of the police.”
The monarch appealed to the government not to redeploy the security agents from the area.
“We just need to implore the government to continue to leave them (the task force) there. They should not withdraw them, so that they can stabilize the security challenges we have in Yewa area.
“With the measures put in place by the joint task force, we are still looking at the security of this area to be a bit stable. The Governor should continue to keep them there so that if there is any distress call, they will respond immediately,” he said.
