Big Brother Naija season 6 housemate, Pere has revealed that divorce from his ex-wife led him to join the army.
Pere served in the US army for six years and left in 2017.
The BBNaija ‘Shine Ya Eye’ housemate on Sunday morning disclosed that his divorce with his ex-wife pushed him into the army.
He made this known while speaking to Queen and WhitemMoney after Saturday night party.

Pere said: “My divorce led me into the military. I begged her to stay but she refused and I just decided to go into the military.”
He had earlier mentioned that his wife divorced him when he was 25 years old because his wife thought he was cheating on her with his best friend.

Anthony Joshua was taken to hospital for assessment following his loss to Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday night.
The British-Nigerian boxer is suspected to have suffered eye socket damage.
Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, has revealed that he could not see properly after the ninth round.
By the 10th round, ‘AJ’ was carrying a black and swollen eye, as Usyk continued to batter him at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Federal Government has been given a 72-hour ultimatum by the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors to pay its members being owed Medical Residency Training Fund and salary arrears.
The Resident Doctors also urged the government withdraw the lawsuit filed against doctors before the National Industrial Court in the interest of peace.
The NARD in a communiqué issued at the end of its 41st Annual General Meeting held in Bauchi State on Saturday, jointly signed by its President, Dr Okhuaihesuyi Uyilawa, and the Secretary General, Jerry Isogun, expressed concern at the Federal Government’s continued failure to agree to their demands.
The resident doctors notet their determination to continue with the indefinite strike, which began on August 2, 2021, until their minimum demands are met.

The AGM, in particular, demanded that the Federal Government should ensure the payment of the Medical Residency Training fund within 72 hours since the money meant for it is available and verification of the list for payment has been completed.
The resident doctors also demanded payment of the arrears of salaries of their members on GIFMIS platform within 72 hours while the migration process continues.
The communique sought for the payment of their withheld August and September salaries.

Protests erupted at the Biogbolo area of Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital, on Saturday, over the death of a 27 year-old-man, Goodluck Oviekeme, who was arrested alongside eight others following an alleged attack on a policeman and theft of his service rifle.
It was gathered that the Police, in a statement, alleged that the deceased was arrested on Tuesday in connection with an alleged armed robbery incident that occurred at Biogbolo area when hoodlums attacked the Police Patrol team, fatally injured Inspector Ugbotor Sunday and carted away his rifle.
Another senior Police source told newsmen that the deceased was arrested alongside Benjamin Karibo, the Youth President of the troubled Biogbolo Community, over their alleged involvement in the attack on the Policeman. And they are all in Police custody.
But Ebitonye Micheal, the brother of the deceased, denied the police allegations, claiming that his brother is innocent of the crime.

Micheal alleged that Oviekeme was killed in the police cell and his body was later dumped at the Federal Medical Center (FMC), Yenagoa.
The protesters, who are made up of Epie-attisa indigenes resident in Biogbolo, staged a protest against the sudden death of Ovikeme, accusing Police of shoddy Investigation and deliberate killing of their kinsman.
Meanwhile, confirming the incident in a statement on Saturday, signed by Asinim Butswat, police spokesman, he disclosed that Echeng E. Echeng, the State Commissioner of Police, had ordered for discreet investigation and autopsy to determine the cause of Oviekeme’s death.
The statement read in part, “The deceased suspect was arrested in connection with the armed robbery incident that occurred on 21 September 2021, at Biogbolo, Yenagoa, when hoodlums attacked the Police Patrol team, fatally injured Inspector Ugbotor Sunday and carted away his rifle”.
“Preliminary Investigation reveals that Goodluck Oviekeme was the mastermind of the attack on the patrol team. He was arrested on 22 September, 2021, at about 0300 hours, while in Police custody, the suspect was observed to be running a high temperature and was rushed to the hospital, where he eventually died.”
The CP also condoled with the family of the deceased and promised the general public that investigation had commenced and the outcome would be made public.

Former World Heavyweight Champion, Anthony Joshua has broken silence over his defeat by Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday night.
Usyk was crowned the new unified world heavyweight champion after a unanimous decision win over Joshua in front of 67,000 fans at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The judges scored the fight 117-112, 116-112, 115-113 for Usyk.
Joshua, in a tweet after the fight said one should keep being positive even if the world is crumbling in front of such a person.
He wrote: “Keep positive even if the world’s crumbling in front of you! London I love you & thank you each and every time! 
”
Fighting in front of 67,000 fans at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Joshua could not dent the unbeaten Ukrainian who is more technical.
Usyk, who held all the belts at cruiserweight, now has four belts at heavyweight.
Usyk was in tears when the decision was announced. It was a superb performance from the Ukrainian.
And Ukraine, who ruled the heavyweight world for so long with the Klitschko brothers, have another world champion in the heavyweight division.
