President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday met behind closed doors with Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. 
 
The meeting, being held on the sidelines of the second day of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) Summit, is one of the last engagements of the President in Riyadh before departing for Makkah via King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah, today. 
 
While in Makkah, President Buhari alongside some members of his entourage, will perform the Lesser Hajj and also observe the Friday prayers at the Grand Mosque in Makkah. 
 
The President had on Oct. 30, met with King Salman bin Abdulaziz where the two leaders met on the sidelines of the second day of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) Summit in Riyadh and expressed their determination for deeper partnership especially in the areas of oil and gas for the development of both countries.

”Nigerian leader and the Saudi monarch reviewed aspects of cooperation between both countries and agreed to advance cooperation in the areas of oil and gas, given the similarities of both countries as big producers of the commodity. 
 
”In this regard, King Salman assured President Buhari of the willingness of Saudi Arabia to invest in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector, thereby strengthening the strategic partnership between the Saudi Energy company, Aramco, and the NNPC. 
 
”Both leaders also discussed the current regional and global security situation, and President Buhari expressed his desire for a quick and peaceful resolution on contentious issues in the region,” Malam Garba Shehu, President’s spokesman said in a statement after the meeting.

Juventus claimed a 2-1 victory over Genoa after a stoppage-time penalty by Cristiano Ronaldo ensured another Serie A victory for the Bianconeri at Allianz Stadium on Wednesday evening. 
 
Ronaldo returned to action after he was given time-off at the weekend and Juve dropped two points. 
 
Leonardo Bonucci opened the scoring in the first half, as Kouame snatched an equalizer just minutes later. 
 
The Old Lady took to the field in a special kit, a collaboration created with Adidas and Palace. They started the game well by moving the ball fluidly and dominantly in and around the final third.

It was Paulo Dybala, who had just been awarded the MVP for the month of September, who created the first chance on goal when he excellently chested down Juan Cuadrado’s cross and connected onto the volley to fire a powerful effort at goal, which saw Radu fingertip his effort over the bar. 
 
Genoa didn’t get forward often in the opening half an hour, but when they did, they had some promising moves, with Pandev coming close when he flicked the ball over the bar from three yards out. 
 
Juventus came agonizingly close to going a goal up in the 34th minute of the game when Dybala brilliantly dribbled a couple of players before seeing his effort brilliantly pushed away by Radu. 
 
Two minutes later, the Bianconeri found themselves celebrating going a goal up when Leonardo Bonucci connected onto the end of a corner and nodded the ball into the back of the Griffoni’s net. 
 
However, Juventus’ lead would only last four minutes as Genoa made it 1-1 through Kouame. He received the ball unmarked on the edge of the box, and took a swing at goal, but his miskick saw it strike his other leg, seeing it loop past a routed Buffon. 
 
Genoa were reduced to 10 men five minutes into the second half after Cassata was shown his second yellow card of the night. 
 
By the hour mark Maurizio Sarri had made two changes to his side with Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot coming on for Blaise Matuidi and Sami Khedira. 
 
The Bianconeri were turning on the heat and they came close to snatching the lead when a great give-and-go between Bentancur and Dybala saw the Argentine take a shot at goal that narrowly flew over the crossbar. That was followed up by an excellent attempt on goal by Bernardeschi, which was saved by Radu. Two-headed chances then fell to Cristiano Ronaldo, with his one effort being saved off the line by the visiting goalkeeper. 
 
Douglas Costa was then introduced into the game with 11 minutes remaining, and he immediately had an impact when he unleashed a powerful swerving effort that flew over the corner of the goalframe. 
 
Juventus were then reduced to 10-men in the 87th minute when Rabiot was shown a second yellow. 
 
Ronaldo thought he had secured the match-winner when he tapped home a cross inside the box, only for VAR to rule out his strike offside. But seconds later he would then ensure all three points for his side when a penalty was awarded to Juventus after he was brought down in the box. 
 
The Portuguese stood up to take the spot-kick and made no mistake in converting the penalty with a low hit into the bottom left corner.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has denied allegations it is hounding successful youths in its quest to contain internet fraud aka Yahoo-Yahoo. 
 
Nigerians on social media have accused the agency and the police of branding, without proof, every young successful person as an internet fraudster. 
 
But Chairman of the Commission Ibrahim Magu denied these allegations on Monday. 
During an interview after the opening ceremony of a three-day conference and retreat for senior police officers held in Lagos, Magu insisted that the EFCC went after suspects based on credible intelligence. 
 
He also reiterated that the EFCC was making plans to rehabiliate arrested internet fraudsters so they could be of great use to the country and society.

Magu said, “We go after fraudsters and not successful young persons. 
 
“We do due diligence before clamping down on them. 
 
“I have also mentioned that we are making arrangement to rehabilitate these arrested fraudsters so that they can be useful to the society.” 
 
Meanwhile, Edo Governor Godwin Obaseki, who was also at the event, said the state was using community policing to tackle the menace of highway kidnapping and armed violence which have been prevalent for some months. 
 
He said his administration was working very hard with the office of the Inspector General of Police (IG) to ensure that attacks on motorists plying the Ore-Benin Highway was a thing of the past. 
 
Obaseki said, “Our model for community policing is key and we are working very hard with the IG’s office. Do not forget that the current IG was AIG in Edo State and that was when we started working on the whole concept of community policing. 
 
“That is one of the reasons I am here: to work with the senior management of the police in terms of providing security in the state.”

Scores of lawyers under the aegis of Nigerian Bar Association, Ota Branch, Ogun State, on Thursday morning abandoned the courtrooms to protest over the failed roads in the state. 
 
The peaceful protest was led by the branch chairman, Isaac Ogbah. 
 
Ogbah said all roads in the state were impassable, causing hardship for them and residents of the state. 
 
He said, “There is no good road in Ogun State. All the roads have failed. The lawyers and judges don’t get to courts on time due to the condition of these roads. The residents too are suffering.

“We are giving the Federal  Government 14 days to make a specific statement on these roads. After 14 days if we don’t hear from them, we shall move to the next phase.”
