Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr said the national team will not play its games at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, until there is an improvement on the bad condition of the playing pitch.
The Super Eagles laboured to a 1-0 win over Tanzania at that venue in their Africa Cup of Nations tie last weekend and Rohr believes the condition of the pitch was partly responsible for the lethargic display by his team.
“I think the management of the stadium will have to be more professional if they want to have Nigerian team come to play here.
“The stadium is wonderful. It was full for the game. The people love the team and they supported them but the pitch is not so good. We tried to play well on a bad pitch.
“But when we want to play good football I think we must have a good pitch. I think there are too many games and training being done on the pitch,” he said.
