Former vice president, Atiku Abubakar and Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti have allegedly been selected to fly the flag of the Peoples Democratic Party as its presidential candidates in 2019.
This is according to Sahara Reporters and the online medium further revealed that it was confirmed t them by a source within the party.
Atiku who is a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) served as vice president on the platform of the opposition party from 1999 to 2007 and has not hidden his intention to become the president of the country.
This is coming at a time former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, appealed to Atiku to return to his former party.
Fani-Kayode said the opposition party where Abubakar belonged to, APC, is dying and the party is in disunity.
He urged the former vice president under the Olusegun Obasanjo's administration to return to PDP.
