Popular terrorist group, Islamic State in Iran and Syria (ISIS) has sent a second threat as national football teams around the world prepare for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
The dreaded terror group had last week sent their first threat when they posted an image of a rifle-carrying ISIS fighter and a bomb bearing the regime’s infamous black flag in front of a football stadium.
SITE Intel Group, an intelligence organisation, on Wednesday published another image released by pro-ISIS media unit Wafa’ Foundation.
The image shows 5-time world footballer of the year, Lionel Messi, behind bars and shedding tears of blood.
The image has the words “You are fighting a state that does not have failure in its dictionary.”
This is not the first time threats to World Cup have been made.
Images have been showing the world cup logo with different taglines, including “I swear that the mujahideen’s fire will burn you, just you wait.”
