Leicester City’s Ahmed Musa looks set for a loan move back to Russia before the end of the January transfer window, according to Leicester Mercury.

Negotiations with his former club CSKA Moscow, who sold Musa to City for £16m in the summer of 2016, are reported to be on-going and a deal is expected be sorted before the window closes next week.

The talks were confirmed by 25-year-old Musa’s agent Tony Harris, who said,  “‘Negotiations with Leicester continue and go in a positive light. Most likely, Ahmed will go on loan to CSKA in this transfer window. The chances for this are very high.’’

Musa’s likely return to Russia was also confirmed by  Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr, who was asked about the future of the City striker.
