Despite Arsene Wenger’s determination to see out his Arsenal contract which runs until 2019, Paris Saint-Germain are said to be stepping up their interest in the 68-year-old, reports Football.London.
The Gunners have lost their last four matches, including defeats to Ostersund and Brighton, placing Wenger under pressure from fans and senior club officials.
Wenger still has another year left on his current deal, but Ligue 1 giants PSG are already putting the wheels in motion on making him their next manager.
Unai Emery is currently in charge of PSG, but he could well be leaving Paris this summer, having failed to reach the Champions League quarter-finals.
PSG were knocked out of the competition on Tuesday night, losing 2-1 at home and 5-2 on aggregate to Real Madrid.
Emery who is out of contract at the end of the season is expected to pay the price.
Le10 Sport claim that PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has already made contact, to find out whether Wenger would be interested in replacing Emery next season.
