Vice-President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, will on Thursday pay a two-day visit to Edo State to flag-off projects executed by the state government.


Osinbajo, who is expected to arrive in Benin at 2pm will preside over a town hall meeting with stakeholders on illegal migration, among other issues.

He would also lead a meeting, in company with Governor Godwin Obaseki, on micro,  small and medium-scale enterprises as well as business start-ups.

According to a statement by the Special Adviser to the governor on Media and Communication Strategy, Crusoe Osagie, the projects to be commissioned include the Edo State Innovation Hub and the 1,800 housing units at the Emotan Garden Estate.

The statement added that Osinbajo will hold a breakfast meeting with clergymen on Friday.

He is also expected to visit the 450 megawatts Edo-Azura Power Plant in Ihovbor community, in the Uhunmwonde Local Government Area of the state, and the Edaiken market in Uselu.

While expressing its preparedness to host the vice-president, the state government urged the residents to turn out en masse to welcome the number two citizen.
