Insecurity: Senate drills IGP behind closed doors
Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu is currently meeting with the Senate.
The Senate has admitted him into the chambers to brief the lawmakers on the state of security in the country.
The acting IGP security briefing is the first order of the day.
Senate has resolved to listen to the acting IGP’s briefing in a closed session.
The acting Inspector General of Police Mohammed Abubakar Adamu’s appearance is in response to a summon issued last week over the spate of insecurity, kidnappings, and banditry ravaging parts of the country.
The summon of the acting IGP was issued in reaction to Senator Shehu Sani’s motion calling the attention of the Senate to the Senseless Killing of a Briton and the Abduction of three others in a Resort in Kaduna by Armed Bandits.
