I don’t know anything the government is doing for the entertainment industry- Ruggedman
Anyone familiar with popular Nigerian rapper, Michael Ugochukwu Stephen, a.k.a Ruggedman during his heydays would acknowledge his immense contribution towards the growth of hip-hop music culture in Nigeria
Ruggedybaba who recently hosted a concert in honour of veteran Nigerian musicians said the government isn’t doing anything to support the Nigerian entertainment industry.
Speaking in a chat with newsmen, he said:” I don’t know anything the government is doing for the entertainment industry. The present administration is not doing anything for the entertainment industry that I know of. If you ask the entertainers how they are feeling they will tell you”.
Asked If he would venture into politics anytime soon, the outspoken entertainer said: “I don’t think I will venture into politics. I will rather support someone or advice someone, but then I am still waiting to see that somebody. If I get a portfolio, I will not lie to you, I will accept it. It will give me an opportunity to make a change and If I cannot change it the way I believe it should be done, I am out”.
