Former Liverpool manager, Rafael Benitez, has agreed a three-year deal to join Premier League club Everton, Sky Sport reports.

Everton have been searching for a replacement for Carlo Ancelotti since the Italian re-joined Real Madrid a few weeks ago.

The Toffees agreed the deal with Benitez after talks with former Wolves manager, Nuno Espirito Santo.

Benitez spent six years at Liverpool between 2004 and 2010.

He won the Champions League, the FA Cup and guided the Reds to a second-place finish in the Premier League.

The Everton board will announce Benitez’s arrival in the next 48 hours.

Benitez also coached another Premier League club, Newcastle United in the past.
