Paris Saint-Germain forward, Kylian Mbappe, will seal a free transfer to Real Madrid next summer, after the Spanish club failed with a last-ditch attempt to land him this year.
Mbappe has just one year left on his current contract with PSG.
The 22-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Madrid, having failed to agree fresh terms.
The LaLiga giants tabled an initial £137million offer, which was quickly rejected.
Los Blancos then increased their bid to £145m plus £9m in add ons, but this was also turned down by PSG.
On transfer deadline, Madrid tried again with a final £189m bid and heard nothing from the Ligue 1 side.
Los Blancos will now move to wrap up Mbappe’s transfer next summer for absolutely nothing, after they have agreed pre-contractual terms with the World Cup winner in January, Sky Sports reports.
