Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has said the club will not entertain offers for Nicolas Pepe during the January transfer window.
Pepe has struggled to live up to expectations since he arrived at Emirates Stadium in a record-breaking £72 million move from Lille during the summer of 2019.
However, the Ivorian winger has played for only 122 minutes in the Premier League since the start of October.
It has led to speculations that Arsenal will look to cut their losses and reinvest in other players.
But ahead of Saturday’s game against Newcastle, Arteta told reporters: “No, and it is not the moment to talk about that either. We are interested in Nico performing at the level that he can do.
“He had some really good moments since I have been here, some moments where he hasn’t participated that much, like everybody else.”
