David de Gea has signed a new four-year contract with Manchester United, with the option to extend for a further year.
The 24-year-old Spain international, who arrived from Atletico Madrid in 2011, was expected to seal a return move to La Liga to join Real Madrid this summer.
However, following the move collapsing on transfer deadline day due to documents arriving late, De Gea has opted to sign fresh terms at the Premier League club.
