Chelsea players unhappy with Mourinho

JOSE MOURINHO has reportedly riled the Chelsea dressing room with his perceived scapegoating of certain players.

Chelsea have endured a poor start to the season and lost their second Champions League game against Porto on Tuesday.

Blues boss Mourinho left attacking trio Oscar, Loic Remy and Radamel Falcao at home for the midweek trip – only informing them of the decision at the last minute.

And The Guardian report concern is growing among the squad of Mourinho’s apparent blame game – particularly the decision to ostracise captain John Terry and hand the armband to Branislav Ivanovic.

Mourinho raised eyebrows by not picking a striker on the bench in Portugal, opting to bring on summer signing Kenedy when chasing the game in the second half.

The former Real Madrid coach has been publicly critical of his players this term and again hit out at his defence after losing 2-1 to Porto.

“We watch dozens and dozens of repetitions of Porto taking corners. I thought we were completely ready for that. And in a moment when the game was under control and we were preparing a change, to concede that goal was like ice in the players.

“The basic thing in football to work at is a defensive set-play. The ball is stopped, you defend the spaces or the man or both. We had another similar mistake [from a corner] when they hit a post.”

Eden Hazard and Nemanja Matic were dropped from the side that drew 2-2 with Newcastle on Saturday, although both came off the bench against Porto.
