Liverpool hold Tottenham to draw in Jurgen Klopp's first match

JURGEN Klopp’s tenure as Liverpool manager began with a hard-fought 0-0 draw at Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday.

An England international praised Klopp's influence in his first few days in charge despite failing to win at White Hart Lane.

"We equipped ourselves well. It’s a new manager coming in with new ideas. Overall this is a solid start."

Milner also believes Klopp has a rebuilding job at Liverpool and it could be a while before they challenge for trophies.

He added: "It’s a long, long process - obviously a new manager coming in, plenty of changes.
