Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr met with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and the technical director of Chelsea Mike Emenalo on Thursday.

The motive of Rohr's visit to both clubs was however not disclosed. But according to a top source, Rohr's visit was to secure the release of the Premier League clubs' Nigerian players Mikel Obi, Victor Moses and Alex Iwobi for the forthcoming 2018 World Cup qualifier against Algeria on 12 November.

Rohr who has won his first two games in charge of the three-time African champions is hoping to secure a third win on the bounce when they host the Fennecs of Algeria next month.

A tweet on the official handle of the Super Eagles confirms the visit.

"@NGSuperEagles T. A Gernot Rohr in London. Met with @Arsenal Manager, Arsene Wenger and @ChelseaFC's Mike Emenalo & Captain @mikel_john_obi," the handle tweeted on Wednesday.

Nigeria currently top Group B of the African World Cup qualifiers with three points ahead of Algeria, Cameroon and Zambia.
