Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has faulted the claims by ex-President, Olusegun Obasanjo saying those agitating for Biafra should stop because “there is enough cake to share.”

Recall that Obasanjo had during the Biafra conference held in Abuja on Thursday, noted that dialogue was a sure way to resolving the issue of agitation for an independent Igbo nation.

Obasanjo had said, ”But I think, we should even appeal to those saying they want to go, we should not tell them to go, we should make them understand that there is enough cake to share. We should massage Nigeria just like in a love relationship.”

Reacting to Obasanjo’s comment, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chieftain describe the remark as “insulting.”

In a series of tweets on his social media handle @realFFK, Fani-Kayode wrote: “I believe that it is the height of naivety and deeply insulting to say that the way to stop the Biafran agitation is to offer the Igbo cake.

“Give them cake? This reminds me of the words of Queen Marie Antoinette of France before the revolution. That is exactly what she said too.”
