Popular prophet and shepherd-in-charge of Champions Royal Assembly, Joshua Iginla, has said the N23 million he gave to 115 widows on his birthday was in obedience to an instruction given to him by the Holy Spirit in a dream in which a plane crash he was involved in was averted.

He said this yesterday during a celebration service held to mark his birthday at City of Wonders Parish in Kubwa, Abuja,
Prophet Iginla said that his gesture to the widows (in addition to being a mark of honour and ‎respect to the Holy Spirit) was also a way of giving back to the society what it has bequeathed on his commission.
He said: “My actions were instructed by the Holy Spirit in one of my dreams, in which a plane I was involved in crashed. The dream was supposed to come to reality but it was averted.”
He added that he has dedicated the rest of his life ‎to the empowerment of the vulnerable members of the society irrespective of their religious, tribal or sectional inclinations.
‎While challenging well-to-do Nigerians to replicate his gesture, Prophet Iginla reiterated his commitment towards alleviating the plight of the less privileged members of the society.
“I will continue ‎to do whatever I can, within the limits of my powers, to keep them (widows and orphans) alive and encourage them to decently move on with their lives,” he said.

The Abuja-based clergy prayed to God to keep the widows and their offspring.
