First Lady of Ondo State, Mrs. Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, led the executives and members of the non-governmental organisation, Breast Nigeria, Ondo State Chapter, on cancer awareness outreach at Oja Oba market, Akure.
The governor’s wife is a breast cancer survivor, and she has been using the platform of her exalted office to encourage women to do regular breast screening to ascertain their breasts’ help.
She says when breast cancer is detected early, treatment is possible and mortality can be reduced.
She led Ondo women to clean up the Oja Oba as parts of activities to drive awareness on breast cancer.
