Thousands of youths trooped out again in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Thursday in continuation of the #EndSARS protest.

Armed with placards with various inscriptions, the protesting youths gathered at Trans, along the UI-Bodija road chanting EndSARS; NoSAWAT as they marched on the streets.

Another group of youths gathered in front of the main gate of the University of Ibadan where they barricaded the road and forced vehicles to make a detour.

The protest was peaceful while the protesters said they were ready to continue with the protest for as long as it would take the government to end bad governance, which they said led to police brutality, economic crisis, corruption, and insecurity.

A patrol vehicle of the Nigeria Army was allowed to drive through the barricade.

One of the leaders of the protest, Folaranmi Alade said that the protest was more than clamouring against police brutality but that good governance be installed in the country.

Alade said, “We are out today shouting EndSARS, NoSWAT, this is not our only request. We want an end to bad governance, insecurity, poor economic condition in the country.”
