Manchester United striker, Cristiano Ronaldo, is set to break a record at Old Trafford if he scores in his side’s Premier League clash against Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon.

Ronaldo would become the first Man United player in his second spell at the club to score in his first four matches for the Red Devils should he find the back of the net against Aston Villa today.

The 36-year-old scored a brace against Newcastle in the Premier League, a goal against Young Boys in the Champions League and a strike against West Ham in the Premier League.

The Portugal captain rejoined Man United in the summer transfer window from Juventus.

The last Man United player to score in his first four appearances for the club was James Hanson in 1924.

Ronaldo, of course, had his first four matches back in 2003.

Meanwhile, Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku was on the cusp of making history for Man United during his time at Old Trafford when he stepped up to take a penalty in his fourth appearance for the club against Leicester, but unfortunately, his penalty was saved by Kasper Schmeichel.
