Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford, has issued a delayed apology to fans following their 5-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday.
The result has heaped more pressure on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with his future at Old Trafford still uncertain.
Quickfire goals from Naby Keita and Diogo Jota had put Jurgen Klopp’s men in control, before Mohamed Salah’s hat-trick sealed a memorable game.
Rashford, writing on Twitter on Wednesday night, admitted he had struggled to find the words following the loss.
“I can’t lie you haven’t heard from me on here because as a United fan I didn’t really know what to say after Sunday.
“I was embarrassed. I am embarrassed. Our fans are everything and you didn’t deserve that.
“We’re working hard to try and fix this. We have to redeem ourselves,” he said.
