Paris Saint-Germain forward, Lionel Messi, has compared French Ligue 1 and Spanish LaLiga.
Messi said Ligue 1 is much more physical than LaLiga, adding that teams in the French League seem more powerful to him and the matches are hotly contested, with few spaces.
The Argentine captain left LaLiga giants, Barcelona, for PSG in the summer transfer window.
Messi has played just three games for PSG in Ligue 1 and he is still adapting to French football.
He is yet to score for PSG in the Ligue 1 and his only goal for Mauricio Pochettino’s side happened in the Champions League against Manchester City.
“(Ligue 1) It’s a league that is much more physical than LaLiga,” Lionel Messi told France Football.
“Here, the teams seem to me to be more powerful and the matches are very competitive, with not much space.
“Most of the players are very strong.”
