Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, has confirmed that the Manchester United board have decided to sack their manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
According to Romano, Solskjaer’s time at Man United is over after the club’s owner, Malcolm Glazer, approved his dismissal.
Romano stated this in a tweet via his Twitter account following Man United’s Premier League embarrassing 4-1 loss to Watford on Saturday evening.
He tweeted, “Manchester United board decision to sack Ole Gunnar Solskjær has been approved by Glazer. It’s over.
“Official statement in place, a mutual agreement reached to respect Ole and part ways.
“Fletcher-Carrick now ready as an interim solution if no instant solution is found.”
Recall that Solskjaer watched as Watford thrashed Man United at Vicarage Road.
Joshua King, Ismaila Sarr, Joao Pedro, and Emmanuel Bonaventure all scored for Watford against the Red Devils as Donny van de Beek’s strike was not enough to get a point for the visitors.
Man United captain Harry Maguire was given a red card during the encounter.
Solskjaer has overseen just one win in Man United’s last seven Premier League matches.
Man United now sits in the 7th position on the Premier League table with 17 points from 12 games.
