PDP needs help, has run out of ideas – Presidency
Presidency Sunday said that the defeated Peoples Democratic Party, PDP was a party to be pitied, saying the opposition party has run out of ideas.
The presidency’s swipe was however a reaction to the PDP’s assertion on Sunday that the interrogation of the Senator Godswill Akpabio, immediate Governor of Akwa Ibom by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC was a grand plot by the government of President Mohammadu Buhari to weaken the party ahead of the 2019 general elections.
The party also accused the President of selective judgement, asking him to also go for former governors of Lagos State and others who hail from his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Speaking to newsmen, the Special Adviser to the president on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina said that PDP was a broken recorded that was needed to be discarded.
“The opposition seems to have run out of ideas so soon. Daily, we hear the same jaded, hackneyed allegations from them. I think they really are to be pitied. They need help.
“A broken record that repeats itself ceaselessly is of no use than to be thrown away”, he said.
