Confusion in Kogi as 'Prayer warriors' try to raise Audu Abubakar from the dead
Confusion enveloped Ogbonicha, the home of the All Progressives Congress gubernatorial candidate in the Saturday election in Kogi State, Abubakar Audu, following the delay in the burial of the politician, who died Sunday evening.
Mr. Audu’s burial was initially fixed for 10am (today) Monday, a situation which made friends and relatives to besiege his palatial home early in the day.
But after waiting endlessly without the burial taking place, angry mourners started demanding his corpse be brought out.
NigerianEye gathered that a group of prophets came into the expansive country home of Prince Audu, with a promise to revive him back to life.
One of them even stake his life while assuring the mammoth crowd that has gathered for the burial here of the possibility of Audu coming back to life.
Audu’s family refused to give the prophets access to where Audu’s body was deposited. But the youths forcibly opened the door to give the prophets access, with the hope that the ex-governor will come back to life.
NigerianEye gathered that as men and women of faith engage in fervent prayers to bring Audu back to life others are digging his grave in one end of the compound.
However Audu did not come back to life, he was buried at Ogbonicha, Ofu Local Government Area in Kogi state around 2pm Nigerian time.
