HKN Music star Davido has just signed a deal worth $1million with Sony Music Entertainment Global.
The singer had been teasing fans for more than a week about a “big announcement” he is about to make and his life is “about to change forever”.
Davido as at the time of reporting this news is at Sony BMG building in New York where he just signed a music recording and distribution deal with Sony Music Global ahead of his second studio album.
He has hinted the worth of his music deal is $1million
On signing his deal Davido wrote, “ I want to thank God! Because without him none of this would be possible🙏 wanna Thank our loving father Dr. Adedeji Adeleke for all the support he has given us! Today we made history @davidoofficial is the first African artist to be signed to @sonymusicglobal #Blessed #historyMade #2016HKNTAKEOVER💯 #GameChanger”
Sony Music Entertainment has more than 200 artistes under its tutelage including Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Jamie Foxx and several other music stars.
Davido becomes the first African artist to be signed under Sony Music Global.
