Patrice Evra has put his past animosity with Luis Suarez aside to congratulate the Barcelona striker on his latest award.
Suarez served an eight-match ban while at Liverpool after the Football Association found him guilty of racially abusing Evra during a game against Manchester United.
The Uruguayan, who claimed his use of language was misunderstood, later refused Evra's handshake before another United-Liverpool match at Old Trafford.
But their feud is a thing of the past judging by Evra's reaction to Suarez winning the Golden Shoe award.
The Juventus defender posted a picture of Suarez with the trophy on his Instagram page, accompanied by the message: "In my Instagram there is only love and never hate!
"Luis - you're a great player, the best No 9. Congratulations. I love this game."
The Golden Shoe ranks top goalscorers in European league through a points system where goals in the major five leagues are worth two points each, and those in lower-ranked leagues worth less.
Suarez topped the charts with 40 for Barcelona in the 2015/16 La Liga season and also shared the award with Cristiano Ronaldo in 2013/14 after scoring 31 times for Liverpool.
