The Adamawa State Governor, Muhammadu Bindow on Friday assured Igbos residing in the state of their safety.

Bindow said his government would use all apparatus at its disposal to protect the lives and property of people residing in the state irrespective of their tribe or religion.

He said Igbos should feel free to carry out their normal business activity as they were at home.

The governor gave the assurance while meeting with heads of security outfits and Igbo community in Yola, the state capital.

Bindow also stated that the crisis between members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and the Nigerian Military on the South East is not in the interest of the country.

According to Bindow, “Adamawa people are peace loving citizens, what is going on in the South East is not in the interest of the good people of the region.


“Therefore, I am calling all South East citizens especially Igbos residing in all parts of Adamawa to feel free and continue with their normal business activities as they are safe and at home.”
