Paul Pogba has tipped Cristiano Ronaldo to “raise the level of the team” after he returned to Manchester United.
Ronaldo returns to Old Trafford 12 years after he left for Real Madrid.
During his first spell, he netted 118 goals in 292 appearances, winning three Premier League titles and one Champions League trophy.
Ronaldo is expected to make his second debut for United at home against Newcastle this Saturday.
Pogba expects the 36-year-old to raise the standards at the club.
He told Telefoot: “It’s always a pleasure to play with the best, it’s a plus for the players to be able to train with a great player.
“He’s going to raise the level of the team.”
