Suspected members of the Boko Haram were on Sunday evening involved in a shoot-out with soldiers in Aladuwari village – about 2 km away from Maiduguri.
The attackers arrived the area at about 6 p.m. local time, it was gathered.
Also at about 8 p.m., two suicide bombers, believed to be females, detonated explosives near FOMWAN school in Jiddari area of Maiduguri.
The casualty figure from the explosions is yet to be ascertained at press time,
