‘World’s worst team’ offers Mourinho job
He may have been ditched by Chelsea just before Christmas but it looks like Jose Mourinho isn’t going to be struggling to pay the gas bill for too long, with job offers flooding in from around the world.
Among those offers is a tantalising proposal from Brazilian team Ibis Sport Club, who currently ply their trade in the second division of the Pernambuco regional league.
Ibis pride themselves on the fact that they are semi-officially the worst team in the world, having set a world record for most matches without a win (55) back in the 1980s.
As such, the team want Mourinho to come in and revitalise their fortunes, offering the Portuguese a lucrative two-and-a-half-year contract in return.
According to the scanned image circulating on social media, the contract includes a monthly food hamper, win bonuses and a wage increase every time Ibis are heavily beaten.
Further proving that they take the whole ‘worst team in the world’ thing deadly seriously, there is also a clause that states Mourinho would be automatically sacked should he manage to secure promotion.
Meanwhile Mourinho has reportedly rejected the chance of a return to Real Madrid.
With Louis van Gaal’s Manchester United without a win in eight matches, Mourinho’s been tipped for a swift return to management by taking over from the Dutchman at Old Trafford.
