A former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief Olu Falae, has predicted the disintegration of the ruling All Progressives Congress, saying members of the party are not committed to the progress of the party.

The National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party stated this at the party’s secretariat in Akure, the Ondo State capital, on Tuesday while receiving a former Minister of Power and Steel, Dr. Olu Agunloye, who defected to the party from the Peoples Democratic Party.

Falae, who addressed party faithful across the 18 local government areas of the state, gave the assurance that the party would take over the Federal Government in the nearest future. He urged the members to continue to work for the party and adhere with its rules and regulations.

He said, “This mega party will soon disintegrate and all the members that came together to form it will find their ways. It is certain that what bound them together will soon disintegrate them.

“After tearing apart, the members will come back to join us and we shall accept them, as long as they are ready to abide with our rules and regulations.”

In his address, Agunloye said he decided to join the SDP in order to be given the opportunity to contribute his quota to the development of the state, and also to contest the governorship election coming later in the year.

“ I shall team up with other members of the party and other persons who truly want progress in our land to establish a credible government in Ondo State from February 2017 and commence the reconstruction and restoration programmes for more abundant life for Ondo State people,” he said.
