Mourinho on standby to replace Van Gaal at Manchester United
Jose Mourinho is ready to take over at Manchester United before the end of the season, according to reports.
Mourinho has already signed a deal with Manchester United to take over as manager, although he isn’t expected to assume control at Old Trafford until the summer.
It is understood that the current coach, Louis Van Gaal, is to continue training at United until the end of the season, unless there is disaster in the near future, according to a Spanish website, COPE.
United had a successful outing against Stoke with a comfortable 3-0 win, suggesting an improvement in form for Van Gaal’s side.
Why Van Gaal left the effort to succeed in his games until now is unknown, however, 18 months have condemned his tenure for many.
Van Gaal arrived in England with a huge ego and equally large trophy cabinet, but the 5-3 defeat to Leicester City last term fundamentally ruined his best laid plans.
