Italian side Inter Milan have signed Nigerian midfielder Theophilus Awua from Serie B side Spezia.
The 18-year-old who was top scorer at a football tournament in Rijeka, Croatia before joining the Serie B club last summer signed a three-year deal at Inter for an undisclosed fee.
According to Inter's Sporting Director Piero Ausilio, the player is expected to be loaned out to gain more first team experience.
"Another Inter deal right is in place Theophilus Awua, coming from La Spezia while Dodo is ready to reach an agreement with Sampdoria," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
Awua a product of Football Academy Abuja was on trial at AS Roma alongside Rabiu Rilwan Onyidamola, Ani Emmanuel Haruna, Adamu Mohammed, and Chukwuemeka Emmanuel before opting to join the Nerazzurri.
He will join the Nerazzurri Primavera (youth) squad led by Stefano Vecchi.
