Watford record signing, Isaac Success, has been ruled out of the Hornets’ opening game of the 2016/2017 Premier League season against Southampton on Saturday at St Mary’s.

The Nigerian international according to his coach Walter Mazzarri is unfit due to a leg muscle problem he is currently nursing.

Watford will also be without Brice Dja Djedje, who misses out due to a foot injury.

“No,” Mazzarri said when asked if the Success is fit. “Unfortunately, he (Success) is the only one from the weekend who has a problem.” he said in his pre-match conference.

“Honestly, I have one or two doubts [about certain positions] but don’t ask me which.”

Heurelho Gomes, Miguel Britos, Jose Holebas, Etienne Capoue, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Odion Ighalo and Troy Deeney are all certain starters on Saturday for Watford.

The £12.5 million record buy Success has been handed the No.10 jersey for the forthcoming coming season at the club.
