Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has admitted that they missed Harry Maguire during their 4-2 defeat to Liverpool on Thursday night.

The Reds won for the first time at Old Trafford since 2014, thanks to a Roberto Firmino double and strikes from Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah.

Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford scored for United.

Maguire sat out the second successive game due to an ankle injury, with the defence conceding four times in his absence.

“Harry (Maguire) has been really important for us so of course, we’re going to miss him but he’s out so we have to deal with that.

“It’s about regrouping and building our own confidence again as we have two games and a final.

“Tuesday. We need to find ourselves straight away. We need to build that momentum and confidence. We should go into that final ready,” Solskjaer told Sky Sports.
