Nigerian forward, Emmanuel Emenike, is delighted to have ended his goal drought of 456 days for Fenerbahce who defeated Monaco 2-1 in Wednesday's first leg UEFA Champions League third round qualifier.
Emenike who scored a brace in his first competitive game of the season for the Yellow Canaries in the encounter, last netted for the former Turkish champions on the 28th of April 28, 2015 in Fenerbahce's 2-1 win over Bursaspor in the Ziraat Turkish Cup quarter-final game.
Emenike was also pleased with his side’s win ahead of the second leg next week in Monaco.
Emenike who was on target in the 39th and 61st minutes of the game expressed his joy to his fans via his Instagram wall.
"Great win today. I'm back. God is great," he wrote on his wall, @emenike_9.
His strikes took his goal tally to 18 in 56 games for Fenerbahce after returning from a season long loan spell at Al-Ain and West Ham.
