FIFA is set to investigate Roberto Firmino’s transfer from Hoffenheim to Liverpool, days after they began looking into Paul Pogba’s world-record move to Manchester United from Juventus.
Firmino moved to Anfield in 2015 for £29million.
But, according to ‘Football Leaks: The Dirty Business of Football’, Hoffenheim received just £5.8million of the fee, with the rest going to owner Dietmar Hopp’s company Transfair.
It is alleged that Hopp withdrew his business interest in the company just days later.
Firmino is on a basic wage of £68,085 a week at Liverpool, but has earned a staggering £1.1million in bonuses since his move.
The 25-year-old’s first five goals in a season land him £25,000, with goals 6-10 netting him £45,000 and 11-16 £65,000.
He has scored 12 times so far this season and his six assists have earned him £190,000.
