Tottenham Hotspur forward Heung Min-Son has been voted as the Premier League Player of the Month for April.

The South Korean scored five goals in the month under review. Son began the month with a bang scoring on April 1 in the team’s 2-0 away win against Burnley at Turf Moor.

Son also scored once in the 3-1 away win against Swansea on April 5. He then helped himself to a brace three days later against Watford in a 4-0 win and then scored once in the 4-0 thrashing of Bournemouth on April 15.

Son bagged an assist in a perfect month for Spurs. That means he had a hand in six of the 16 goals scored as Mauricio Pochettino’s team won all six of their fixtures. He also won same prize in September 2016.

Son who beat off competition from the likes of Eden Hazard scored more Premier League goals in April than he managed in the whole of last season.

He beat six other nominees: team-mates Christian Eriksen and Jan Vertonghen, Manchester United’s Eric Bailly, Chelsea winger Eden Hazard, Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero and Christian Benteke, of Crystal Palace.
