$2bn arms deal: Bode George denies sharing loots, meeting Dasuki while in office
Ex- Peoples Democratic Party Deputy National Chairman, Chief Olabode George, has reportedly denied setting his eyes on the immediate past National Security Adviser, Col.Sambo Dasuki, rtd, throughout his tenure in office, let alone collecting money from him.
In a statement by Prof. Tejumade Akitoye – Rhodes of Lagos Collectives on behalf of George, yesterday, stressed that linking the latter with the collection of cash from the ex-NSA’s office was wrong.
The statement reads, “For the record, Chief Bode George did not collect a farthing from Dasuki or anybody else whatsoever. He has never even set eyes on the former NSA throughout his tenure in office talk less of collecting money from him. Dasuki of course is very much alive to corroborate this position.”
George was earlier in the week arrested by security operatives for benefiting from the $2bn loot from the Office of the National Security Adviser. The money in question was meant for the procurement of arms for the Nigerian Armed Forces in its fight against insurgency in the North Eastern part of the country.
