As Christians commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, has called on Nigerians to reflect deeply on the virtues of love, tolerance, Godliness, honesty, fairness, selflessness and peaceful coexistence which the Messiah exhibited during his earthly mission.

Odigie-Oyegun, in a goodwill message to celebrate Christmas, urged Nigerians to offer special prayers for peace, unity and development in the country.

He urged Nigerians to shun hatred and divisiveness, and promote national unity.

He also urged Nigerians to pray for the military and other security agents fighting to overcome terrorism as well as victims and displaced persons in the insurgency-ravaged North East.

Odigie-Oyegun further urged religious leaders to pray for the nation and its leaders continuously, as the prevailing situation in the country calls for wise counsel and divine intervention.
