Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Chief William Makinde, weekend, denied media report that the commission’s board squandered N50 million on an end-of-year party for workers.
Chief Makinde, in a statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Dr. Prince Orhomonokpaye, said that the report was a fabrication and urged reporters to verify information before publishing.
“We expect the media to reach out to us to get our side of the story for balanced reporting, which some of the practitioners are not doing,” he said.
