The Nigerian Army said yesterday that the Chief of Training and Operations of the Nigerian Army, Major General Yushau Mahmood Abubakar met an accident and died in the epicenter of the war on terror, in a road accident along Maiduguri-Damaturu Road.
A statement confirming the death of the immediate past Theater Commander of Operation Lafiya Dole and signed by Col. Sani Usman said “The road accident also involved the Acting General Officer Commanding 3 Division, Brigadier General MSA Aliyu who sustained some injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment.
